1. Deposits & Pre-Payments
Some reservations, including large group bookings, special events, and New Year’s Eve, require a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking.
Deposits are deducted from your final bill on the day of your visit.
If a deposit is required, it must be paid at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Standard Bookings
If you need to cancel or modify your booking, please inform us as soon as possible.
Refunds on Deposits
Deposits are non-refundable, except in cases where Gurkha Fire is unable to honour the booking (e.g., unforeseen closure of the restaurant).
If you cancel at least 48 hours in advance, we may be able to transfer your deposit to a future booking at our discretion.
No-Shows & Late Cancellations
If you fail to attend your reservation or cancel less than 48 hours before, the deposit will be forfeited.
For larger bookings or special events, 72 hours' notice may be required for any changes or cancellations.
Deposits for Tables of 4 or More
For reservations of 4 or more people, a £10 deposit per person is required. This deposit is held at the time of booking and will only be charged if the booking is cancelled within 24 hours or in case of a no-show.
Card Details
Your card details will be securely held at the time of booking but nothing will be charged until the cancellation policy applies (i.e., within 24 hours or a no-show).
3. Event & Pre-Paid Bookings
Special events, including Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and private hire, may require full or partial pre-payment.
Any pre-paid bookings are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Gurkha Fire.
In some cases, if you can no longer attend, you may transfer your booking to another person—please contact us in advance to arrange this.
4. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be used within this period.
5. Refunds for Food & Drink
If you experience an issue with your meal, please inform our staff immediately so we can resolve it.
Refunds or replacements are offered at management’s discretion and will not be provided for food or drinks that have been consumed.
